Lockdown 3.0

Ah, here we go again.

Going to start blogging once again, give it a read (or not) for ramblings about life and mainly sport! Helping to cure my lockdown boredom one blog at a time!

10 days into the New Year but it’s already set the tone for another crazy year. The Capitol has been stormed, Trump has been banned off social media and the oldest English football competition has properly begun and already we have seen some shocks.

The news has been constantly down our throats thus far, doom & gloom has been in abundance and harrowing news about deaths. Avoid watching, reading or listening to news that could cause you to feel anxious or distressed!

Around 2 million people in the UK have been given their first vaccine dose against COVID-19. We are on track to meet the 13 million target by mid February. Good news. We can get through this lockdown once again. Staying at home is crucial, the incompetence from the government has been there for all to see. But, this is the time to dig in together and stay at home!

Lockdown doesn’t mean you have to pause or live life in limbo, this time could be used to make the changes or lay the foundations for a better future. A fantastic quote which I saw on Facebook, this lockdown will be hard, but we cannot change the Pandemic from happening we can only focus on moving forward!

This will not last forever, better times are ahead. Take this time to appreciate those small things and when normality resumes enjoy them that little bit more!

One of my favourite sporting athletes is Tyson Fury. We all hope to see a mega fight between him and Anthony Joshua this year for all the marbles. WBC, WBA, IBF, IBO, WBO, the Ring & Lineal will all be on the line. A mouth-watering prospect, who wins?

The Furious Method book by Tyson Fury has been a great read so far. An extract as follow: “Resilience isn’t just about being knocked down and getting back up, though. It’s accepting that changes an unavoidable part of life and that the sooner we understand this the better. While we can’t control the problems life unexpectedly presents us with, we can control how we choose to react to those problems, either with calm grace and quiet positivity or throwing our toys out of the pram and sulking.” Something to ponder as we go through this turbulent time.

Hopefully will blog more often this year and thank you for reading this one, if you have! #KeepTheFaith
